Safety training built around Critical Thinking, Risk Intelligence & Positive Behaviors, so crews make better decisions.

We deliver instructor-led MSHA and General Industry safety training built around Critical Thinking, Risk Intelligence, and Positive Behaviors—so your crews don’t just follow rules… they make better decisions when it matters most.
Compliance is the minimum. Culture is the goal.
Most incidents don’t happen because people “didn’t know the rule.”
They happen because of routine, blind spots, pressure, assumptions, and missed signals.
Elite Safety trains crews to strengthen:

Your team leaves trained—and job-ready.

Elite Safety was founded in 2013 by Bobby and Brandon Powell after Bobby decided to retire from his Safety Manager position at Freeport McMoRan Miami. Shortly after opening the doors in 2014 they brought in a third generation to the team. Zach Powell joined the office as the Director of Operations and Ryan Powell as Sr. Safety Specialist in 2021. From time to time you could also see Ricky Powell as a class instructor.

At Elite Safety, our mission is to ensure the highest standards of safety in the workplace. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive MSHA mine safety training to help protect workers and promote a safe environment.
Making Hard Work Safe!

Our goal at Elite Safety is ZERO Harm! Let's all go home the way we came in.

Combined over 100 years of experience in safety training in one building.

We combine MSHA requirements with real-world hazard recognition and critical thinking so miners understand the “why,” not just the rule.
Common Courses:
Fall Protection • LOTOTO • Confined Space • HazCom/SDS • Electrical Safety • PPE • Hot Work • Incident Prevention • Critical Thinking.
We focus on practical application, positive behaviors, and risk ownership—so training translates to the jobsite.
Let’s build a safer operation—starting with better thinking.
Situational Awareness • Human Factors • Error Traps • Decision Making Under Pressure - Positive behavior habits in occupational health and safety regulations.
A true safety culture isn’t built by watching people—it’s built when people hold the line when no one is watching.
We help leaders:
set clear standards - coach behaviors - build trust and ownership -reduce fear-based compliance - strengthen accountability the right way
Critical Thinking (pause, process, and choose correctly)
Risk Intelligence (recognize risk early and respond smart)
Positive Safety Behaviors (ownership, communication, and accountability)

Safety leadership is simply a set of actions and behaviors.
